OutcomesBuild it into your product
Put Redpoint inside what you build.
You make the forklift, the robot, the helmet or the wearable. We make it aware of every person and machine around it. Embed the same patented technology that’s in our own tags, pull the data through open APIs, or build something new with our engineers.
Why build it in
Your customers want machines that know when someone is near.
When we introduced our real-time location system, clients found use cases across many industries. But again and again they asked the same thing: can it work inside the technology we already use? Because our technology is open, the answer is yes — and we work directly with partners to make it happen.
Sensors that only see line of sight miss the person around the rack corner. A tag bolted onto a truck can warn a driver, but it can’t make the truck act. Integrated into the vehicle’s own control unit, the response is closed-loop: the truck slows or stops itself, taking human error out of the equation.
That’s the difference between a product that reports a hazard and one that avoids it.

What changes with Redpoint
Three ways to build with us.
Take the part you need. Put it in the hardware, pull it into your software, or bring us the problem and build it together.
01 · Hardware
A module for your device
The RTLS Module has all the location capability of our tags on a single, compact PCB, so you can design your own tags or add real-time location and two-way data to devices and vehicles you already make. No extra hardware needed.
- Vehicle CAN bus
- Smart wearables, helmets and protective devices
- Biometric devices and other sensors, such as temperature and air quality
- Building infrastructure and smart buildings
- Robotics
02 · Software
Open APIs for your platform
Use the REST API to build your own application and manage the network. Use the WebSocket API to stream real-time locations and events into your product. Take what you want, integrate it how you want.
- Locations, sublocations and position history
- Anchor and tag functionality
- Grouping, zoning and events
- Telematics data from your smart sensors and devices
- Alarms, reports and much more
03 · Together
A custom solution, built with you
We love a hard problem. Bring your idea and we’ll create a version of our technology that works with yours — you tell us the use case, and we build it together.
- Custom vehicle or building integrations
- Robotics and automation builds
- Greenfield use cases where location brings value
How the pieces connect
From a tag on the floor to your own system.
Every Redpoint site follows the same path. You can plug in at either end: build the tag into your device, or take the data out through the API.
- Tags and the RTLS module On people, vehicles and robots, or inside your own device. You plug in here
- Anchors Fixed around the site. They measure the distance to every tag.
- Redpoint server Works out positions, zones and events. In the cloud or on your site.
- Open API REST and WebSocket. Take the data you need, as it happens.
- Your systems Your app, WMS, telematics or fleet controller — or Redpoint SiteWise. You plug in here
On a vehicle, the loop never leaves the truck.
- The tag senses a person close by
- It tells the truck over the CAN bus
- The truck slows or stops itself
- Path clear, back to full speed
For vehicle makers
CAN bus vehicles that slow themselves down.
The Vehicle Mount Tag connects directly to any vehicle that supports CAN bus and exchanges data with it. It measures distances to other tags and triggers warnings by rules you define — and because it talks to the vehicle, the vehicle can act.
- An automatic governor in slow zones
- Collision avoidance between vehicles and personnel
- Virtual zones that keep vehicles in their designated areas
- Full automation into the telematics of robotic vehicles
- Configure or update firmware without taking the tag off the vehicle
- Waterproofed for shock and constant vibration; fits with screws or zip ties
Built for fleets, not pilots

The position lives on the device
Each tag works out its own location, so your product has it right there, on the device.
